The LudoSport Protocol
The LudoSport Protocol defines the organizational structure, operating rules, and standards that make it possible to practice Light Saber Combat & Arts according to the LudoSport Method within the international Network.
Its purpose is to ensure that the discipline is taught, practiced, and developed in a consistent and recognizable way worldwide. For this reason, it establishes how Academies are organized, which roles exist within the community, how educational and competitive activities are carried out, and which tools ensure continuity and quality across the Network.
The Protocol works alongside the other core documents of the discipline: the Code of Ethics, which defines values and behaviors, and the Sporting Regulations, which govern the technical aspects of practice and competition. Together, these documents form the shared framework of the LudoSport Network.
One of the central principles of the Protocol is the universality of the Method. Wherever they are in the world, practitioners should be able to find the same teaching structure, the same ranks, and the same training standards. This allows every Academy to be part of a global community, expressed in the principle One Name, One Sky.
The Network is organized across multiple levels of responsibility. Academies are the local entities authorized to teach the discipline; LudoSport International coordinates the development and supervision of the Network at a global level; and the Society of LudoSport Masters (SLM) preserves and develops the Method in its technical, educational, and cultural aspects.
Within this structure operate instructors, students, referees, organizational managers, collaborators, and volunteers, each with a specific role in supporting the life of the community and the quality of the practice.
The Protocol also governs the Network’s main activities — training, teaching, events, and competitions — and defines the shared tools that ensure coordinated operations, including official communication channels and the LudoSport+digital platform.
Through these common rules, the Protocol protects the identity of the discipline and makes possible a consistent, transparent, and high-quality sporting experience across all Network locations.
